Adam Lambert’s album, which is available for pre-order on Amazon site, ranked No. 2 on the online retailer’s bestsellers list.
The astonishing sales of his album, which is set to be released on Nov. 24, showed that Lambert may quickly overshadow the singer who beat him in the final vote, Kris Allen. Lambert’s record company, RCA, did not even announce that it was taking pre-release orders. The sales spreaded by word of mouth.
The “American Idol” alum has been working on his album with Lady Gaga’s producer RedOne, One Republic’s Ryan Tedder, “Since U Been Gone” hit maker Max Martin etc. His album is also included in several critics’ “most anticipated” lists.
