Backstreet Boys’ hit, “I Want It That Way” could be heard as Donald Trump took the stage at a rally in Ocala, Florida on Wednesday.
A report suggested that the song was played at least three times at the rally. However, the American vocal group does not approve of using their music at the presidential candidate’s campaign events. Their representative also revealed that the best-selling boy band was not associated with the Trump camp. Unfortunately, the group could not do something about it because the Republican nominee is entitled to add any song to his playlist because the campaign pays for the rights for it to be used at public assemblies. And the public performance licenses are usually managed by ASCAP and BMI so it doesn’t matter if the artists, who created the music, would give its approval or not.
