Dustin Diamond, who was the former “Saved By the Bell” actor, claimed that the television bosses of paying off a girl who alleged his co-star Mario Lopez date-raped her in 1993.
The former actor of the hit ’90s show made a number of shocking revelations in his new memoir “Behind The Bell”. He claimed that Lopez was a womanizer and took advantage of female fans.
Lopez was involved in a date-rape scandal in 1993 but he was never arrested and no charges were filed against him. According to Diamond, the young girl was paid $50,000 by NBC network chiefs to keep her mouth shut.
Representatives for NBC and Lopez have refused to comment on Diamond’s claims.
