Jennifer Hudson will return to the stage next month for the first time since the tragic murders of her family members.
According to a report, Jennifer Hudson will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Feb. 1 in Tampa, Florida.
A source revealed: “She certainly can nail it. She proved it at the Democratic National Convention.”
Jennifer Hudson has not performed or made any public appearances since the Oct. murders of her mother Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and nephew Julian King in Chicago. William Balfour, Hudson’s estranged brother-in-law, has been formally charged with the murders.
The Oscar-winner was rumored to be performing at next week’s Inaugural but that ended up being false.
Jennifer Hudson is up for four Grammy’s for her self-titled album, including best R&B album, best female R&B vocal performance, best R&B song for “Spotlight” and best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals for her duet with Fantasia, “I’m His Only Woman.”
