Joe Jackson, who is the father of Michael Jackson, reportedly subpoenaed the UCLA Medical Center for records related to the singer’s death on June 25.
This legal move triggered a sharp reaction from the estate lawyer of the late singer, Howard Weitzman, who has termed the move improper. Joe’s lawyer, Brian Oxman sent two subpoenas to the Medical Center as they seek Michael’s medical records, autopsy reports, autopsy photos, medications and prognosis assessments.
Joe Jackson believes that documents will indicate evidence of foul play in Jackson’s death. He also dished that the entire Jackson family is behind the subpoenas. However, estate lawyer Weitzman thought that subpoenas will violate late singer’s right to privacy and physician-patient privileges as well as irrelevant to Joe’s legal claim.
