Kate Middleton will have a chance to explore her late grandfather’s Alberta connections during the royal couple’s upcoming visit to Canada.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will touch down in Calgary for a visit to the place where Kate’s grandfather Peter Middleton served for two years as a Royal Air Force flight instructor during the Second World War. Peter was stationed in Canada from 1942 to 1944 at No. 37 Service Flying Training School, which is now the present site of Calgary International Airport.
