Michael Jackson is set to receive a lifetime achievement award from the US Recording Academy at next year’s Grammys along with other celebrities Leonard Cohen, Bobby Darin and Loretta Lynn.
The awards will be held at a special private ceremony on January 30. It is uncertain who will accept the award on Jackson’s behalf. The late singer is one of the musicians who have contributed some of the most influential recordings as well as outstanding accomplishments that make a timeless legacy.
The awards will be presented at the Staples Centre in LA on January 31 and broadcast live on CBS.
