The journey appeared to be an unexpected family reunion, as it was their first excursion back to the royal family’s home soil in nearly two years. Meghan and Harry reportedly flew from Los Angeles, according to many sources. Tuesday night, first-class on a commercial trip with constant security surveillance. The couple is expected to spend this week in London on a low-key visit before flying to the Netherlands for the commencement of the Invictus Games on Saturday. They met with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles in an apparent bid to mend the rift after they stepped down as senior members of the royal family in 2020. Archie and Lilibet, the couple’s children, are not accompanying them on this trip, thus the Queen will not see them. Prince Harry previously stated that he did not feel safe bringing the children to the UK because they would not have the same level of protection as senior royals.
