Prince William and Duchess Kate will be using a faux-sheepskin blanket from PETA with an accompanying card explaining that it is tradition to give newborns the snug item in parts of the UK.
The animal rights organization hopes that the couple would use their blanket, which is a wonderful way to start a lifetime of compassion. Aside from a cruelty-free baby blanket, PETA will provide the parents-to-be a food hamper containing vegan caviar and faux gras for the new parents. Meanwhile, the royal baby will join the couple in their “spring 2014 Royal baby tour” plans for Australia and New Zealand.
