DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, has died on Friday, August 28 at the age of 36. While speculation on what causes DJ AM’s sudden death is still hot, some details have been pointed out by a police source.
It was claimed that the 36-year-old celebrity DJ was already dead as soon as the officers arrived at his New York City apartment in response to a 911 call reportedly made by a friend.
The police source revealed that the celebrity DJ was not wearing shirt but was wearing pants. The source dished the scoop: “He was found in his bedroom, in bed, face down.”
No comment has been made just yet by AM’s family about the early findings.
In the meantime, an unnamed source has dished some details that in his final days DJ AM had been dealing with his split from model Hayley Wood, a situation that is claimed to bring him down.
The source claimed: “She ended it, and he didn’t want it to end. The break-up hurt him. He hadn’t been in a good place lately. For the past week, he wasn’t really around, he was keeping to himself, and he was blowing people off.”
On Tuesday, August 25, DJ AM tweeted a lyric from Grandmaster Flash, “New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york ain’t always what it seems.”
DJ AM narrowly escaped death in jet crash with drummer Travis Barker back in September 2008. Last year, he revealed that he was abused by his father, became addicted to drugs and had attempted suicide. He said he attended recovery meetings and had remained drug-free for about a decade.
