Cameron Diaz stars with Ashton Kutcher in new romantic comedy “What Happens in Vegas,” held a private screening of the movie to “have a good laugh” with her grieving friends and family following the loss of Emilio Diaz on April 15.
The 35-year-old star wrote a statement, “Due to the loss of my father I have chosen to be with my family this weekend. But it was important for me to convey to all of you how much I love this film.”
The actress revealed, “I was fortunate to work with a talented and gifted individuals that share the common denominator of a generous heart and great sense of humor. The film screening of “What Happens in Vegas” for my family. It was a unanimous decision that we all needed to share a good laugh.”
The actress added, “After all that’s why we make films like these. So people can leave behind their worries for a couple of hours. Have a good laugh. I picture all of your smiles and it makes me happy. Thank you for your continued support. It is much appreciated — Cameron.”
She revealed, “I mean, showing up to work having to look at a good looking woman who is funny and happy to be alive and joyous and nice to people was a nightmare. I don’t think that there is anybody like her she is maybe the only true comedic leading lady in our business right now she really owns that craft.”
