Princess Kate won’t attend the Colonel’s Review or the Trooping the Color on June 8 and June 15.
The reason behind this decision is because of her ongoing chemotherapy treatment. Lieutenant General James Bucknall will inspect the troops on her behalf for the Colonel’s Review. King Charles III and Queen Camilla will travel in a carriage instead of horseback for Trooping the Color. This adaptation is based on the King’s cancer treatment. There was an error on the Army’s website, which caused earlier confusion regarding Kate’s attendance. Fortunately, it has been clarified that she will continue to rest at home and only return to duties when doctors clear her. Meanwhile, Trooping the Color is a significant annual event that marks the Sovereign’s official birthday. It will proceed with the traditional parade involving over 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, and a flypast by the Royal Air Force.
